Wrote a Psalm

Rainbow Promise

From the heights above the clouds,
I sat in a plane, my eyes full of tears,
Crying out to You, O God,
For I had just learned of betrayal and my heart was broken.

O Lord, I called to You in my distress,
Longing for a sign from Your hand.
My heart was weary, my body felt weak,
Yearning for healing and the warmth of love.
Betrayed and desperate, I searched for Your presence,
Asking, “O God, do You see me?”

In the midst of my sorrow,
Through the window above the world,
You painted a rainbow across the sky.
Though sorrow flooded my soul,
Your colors brought lightness to my heart.
In my longing for healing,
You sent a gentle sign—
A strip of colors, smiling upon me,
A whisper of hope in the storm.

Great is the splendor of the Lord;
He reigns forever and speaks through wonders.
You, O God, have shown me many signs,
Reminding me of Your promises.
Your love is unfailing,
Your faithfulness endures all my days.

You are greater than the sun,
You alone make me whole.
Though I suffer now for a little while,
You will restore me, support me, and strengthen me.
You will set my feet upon solid ground.

I will remember Your covenant,
The promise You gave to Noah and to all generations—
That You see Your children and do not forget.
In Your mercy, I will rise again;
You will lift me up,
And I will stand firm in Your love.

Praise be to the Lord,
Who restores, sustains, and keeps His promises,
Now and forevermore.
